SERIES 66 EXAM ASKS SPECIFIC QUESTIONS ABOUT ERISA'S PROVISIONS

Planning to take the Series 66 exam? Then study up on provisions of ERISA.

ERISA's main purpose is to protect participants in pension and retirement plans, and applies to participants other than those in government plans.

Important for the Series 66 exam is knowledge of ERISA Para 404(c) that gives rules of safe harbor for fiduciaries of retirement plans, such as managers, plan sponsors, and plan trustees.

Bob Eder's Study for the Series 66 Exam includes treatment of ERISA in its Chapter 10, "ERISA Issues and Estate Planning."

Study for the Series 66 Exam is available from Amazon in either paperback or Kindle e-book versions. Here is a link to Bob Eder's book on Amazon.

Here is a link to NASAA's Study Outline for the Series 66 exam. See Section III (G) (1, 2 &3) for the Series 66's inclusion of ERISA issues.

Bob Eder received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Utah, Quinney College of Law, in 2001. He is a member of the Utah State Bar, currently on inactive status.
